At VRS Communities, volunteers play a powerful role in helping residents feel connected, supported, and proud of the places they call home. Whether you have a green thumb or a passion for building genuine human connections, your time and skills can make a real difference.

We are currently seeking a specific type of volunteers to support our group homes and the people who live in them.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

Gardening &  Landscaping Volunteers 

Help Us Make Our Homes Bloom

Do you enjoy working outdoors, gardening, or creating welcoming green spaces? We’re looking for volunteers who can help beautify the front and backyards of our group homes.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with gardening, planting, and light landscaping
• Help maintain lawns, garden beds, and outdoor common areas
• Work collaboratively with our maintenance team
• Contribute ideas and creativity — if you have a vision or plan for improving the space, we’d love to see it!
• Help create outdoor areas our residents can enjoy and take pride in

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work and want to leave a visible, lasting impact on the homes and communities we support.

To keep everyone safe and supported:

• Volunteers complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
• Complete shift logs to keep track of total hours volunteered and experiences gained
• Work only in the presence of staff
